G.1 Dispersal Draft
If there is one vacant team, it will be awarded "as is" to the first owner to pay in full for said team.
If there are multiple teams vacant, their players and draft picks will be pooled and the incoming owners will participate in a Dispersal Serpentine Style Draft.
a) The Dispersal Draft will take place on a temporary MFL site to utilize their drafting software without disturbing the league.
b) The Dispersal Draft will be 3rd Round Reversal if there is more than 3 team participating in the draft.
c) Players drafted during the Dispersal Draft will retain their current contracts.
d) Draft Pick Packages will be available to be drafted during any pick of the draft. These Packages will be made up of the draft picks held by each team. Each team MUST and can draft one and ONLY one set of draft picks.
e) Gang Bucks will not be drafted. All GB's from the vacant teams will be split evenly among the new teams in addition to the 300 GB stipend.
f) The Dispersal Draft will continue until all assets are drafted or all participants have declared they are finished drafting. Participants are responsible for ensuring their team is compliant with contract cap rules, which should be easy since this process will likely take place after contracts have been rolled back and before the draft. If a franchise exceeds their team contract cap (years), they will be subject to normal rules governing said violation.
g) There will be no trading for Clubs involved in a dispersal draft during the dispersal draft.
G.2 Second Chance Option
One time only, an owner may dump all their players into the dispersal draft and partake as though they are a new owner to the league. This offers an owner a fresh start and a way to transform their team. The intention to use the Second Chance Option must be announced on the message board by February 15th of the calendar year and is only available to teams that did not make the playoffs the year before. For obvious reasons the second chance option can only be used if there is a dispersal draft or if more than one team wishes to use the second year option.
